IGP ordered to arrest Mervin Silva
Colombo Additional Magistrate Majula Thilakaratne ordered the Ispector General of Police to arrest Minister Mervin Silva for his involvement in an incident at the opening of the second phase of the Kelaniya Flyover where the minister is alleged to have assaulted a journalist and caused damage to his equipment.
The Magistrate has also ordered the arrest of Prasanna Ranaweera, Chairma, Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha, Nihal Silva alias Munchee Nihal and Dulan Asiri over the same incident.
