President to meet Pope
President Mahinda Rajapaksa is expected to meet XVI Pope Benedict at the Vatican today (01) at 9.00 pm Sri Lankan time, a source from the Presidential Secretariat.
President Rajapaksa will leave on a four day official visit to Turkey afterwards, he said.
The President is accompanied by first Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunga and Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama.
