Kelani Perahera begins on Wednesday
The annual Kelani Duruthu Perahera is scheduled to be held on January 7, 8 and 9.
The Kelani Rajamaha Viharaya has been organizing this event annually on the “Duruthu Poya” to mark Lord Buddha’s sojourn during his third historic visit to the island.
The historic Maha Perahera was first held in the year 1927.
