25,000L Petrol and 2070L Engine Oil found
Troops conducting continuous clearing operations in recently librated areas in Puthukkudirippu, Mullaittivu, have uncovered a large quantity of Petrol and Engine Oil yesterday, 19 July, military sources said.
On information gathered from an informant, Intelligence and security sub group of 56 Division uncovered a tanker containing 25,000 liters of Petrol and 9 barrels of engine oil each containing 230 liters, military sources added.
The petrol tanker and engine oil barrels had been neatly buried by the LTTE Sea tiger terrorists in general area Anandapuram when they were recovered, sources further said s.
Further clearing operations are underway.
