Call to Fonseka’s daughter refused
The request made by retired General Sarath Fonseka’s lawyers to the Colombo Fort Magistrate seeking permission to telephone his daughter in theUnited Stateshas been rejected.
The magistrate said that due to Sarath Fonseka being a suspect under remand such facilities cannot be awarded.
Later on the Attorney General revealed to the Magistrates court that an indictment will be filed against three suspects including Sarath Fonseka today at the High court regarding the HiCorp arms deal.
Fonseka was further remanded until July 26 by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayarathna.
