Dengue deaths 165 in Sri Lanka
The number of dengue deaths reported during the past seven months is 165 and the number of dengue patients reported during the same period is 23,000, a Health Ministry spokesman said.
The Ministry to combat dengue will implement dengue eradication programs with the participation of all sectors, organizations and individuals from August 2 to 9.
The same program will be implemented on August 21 and 28. Armed Forces, Ministries, organizations and State officials will participate in this program. The National Dengue Control Week has been declared from August 16 to 22. Special dengue control programs and awareness programs will be implemented during this week. These programs will reach all State and private institutions.
