Norway, which is known for its global peace efforts, has been acting as a secret broker between the Dalai Lama and China, a Norwegian newspaper reported Wednesday.
Diplomatic efforts have gone on for several years and Norwegian foreign ministers have kept U.S. officials informed about the meetings, the Verdens Gang daily said. It cited unnamed sources in Washington.
It did not say if there had been direct meetings between the Dalai Lama and Chinese officials, nor when the peace efforts began.
