LTTE forward defences in the Nachchikuda area came under two separate Sri Lanka Air Force attacks this afternoon, defence sources said.
“The first of the two air strikes targetted an LTTE stronghold in the area North of Nachchikudha at 1.45 pm. The other air raid was carried out by MI 24 helicopters around 2 pm, targetting the LTTE forward defence in the area East of Nachchikudha ,” Ministry of Defence said on its website.
