The TNA has sent a letter to 47 countries urging them to support the US backed resolution calling for the LLRC recommendations to be implemented in Sri Lanka at the ongoing UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva, Political sources claimed.
Sources further stated that the letter signed by TNA leader R. Sampanthan and had called on the international community to support the resolution at the 19th session of the UNHRC.
However when contacted by Ada Derana, Sampanthan stated that he was not prepared to divulge any details to the media.
