The funeral of Major General Janaka Perera and Mrs. Perera who were killed in an explosion in Anuradhapura will take place in Colombo on Saturday, October 11, the funeral organizing committee said.
[ad#200×200]The remains now laying in Anuradhapura for the public to pay last respects are to be taken back to Colombo today and will be placed in late Major Perera’s residence on Poorvarama Road, Colombo 06 until Saturday.
Meanwhile, the funerals of late Dr. and Mrs. Raja Johnpulle are also to be taken place on Saturday at Anuradhapura.
Funerals of many other bomb victims also have been scheduled to be held on Saturday.
Twenty seven persons including North Central Provincial Council Opposition Leader Major General Janaka Perera, United National Party Anuradhapura district Manager Raja Jonhpulle and their spouses were killed by a suicide bomber at a function held to open an office of the Opposition party in Anuradhapura on Monday (06).
