THE 57 Division troops during their extended clearing operations in the general area of the MULLAITTIVU jungle where they located the LTTE’s 6th airstrip Friday (16) found wreckage of an aircraft Sunday (18).
Troops believe that the plane found closer to the airfield could have been used by the LTTE for training purposes.
Further investigations on the recovery are continuing.
