Sri Lanka to restore destroyed religious centers in the North

Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has taken measures to reconstruct all the religious centers in the North destroyed by the LTTE in the past few decades.

Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pandu Bandaranayaka said that his Ministry has already begun to collect the details of those destroyed religious centers in the North.

The Ministry has instructed the Government Agents and District Secretaries in North to collect those details and directed them to the Ministry, he added.

The Minister said his Ministry plans to restore every religious center including Buddhist temples, Christian churches, Hindu kovils and mosques and provide all the facilities to them.
