Opposition Presidential candidate General (Retired) Sarath Fonseka launched his website at his political office on Rajakeeya Mawatha in Colombo this evening (December 24).
Launching the site, the former Army Commander said that the state media has been utilized to sling mud at him since the day he decided to enter politics. However, General Fonseka stressed that his campaign will be free from the usual mud-slinging engaged in by certain political parties.
“This modern method of communication like websites will make our policies and what we stand for to reach the people. This will also make our dealings transparent,” the former Army Commander and Chief of Defence Staff said.
