[ad#200×200]Sri Lanka will be getting crude oil from Iran under the same credit facility granted by the Iranian Government for another three months, reports said.
Accordingly the agreement pertaining to the extending of the facility will be signed on October 13 with the Government of Iran at the Petroleum Resources Ministry.
According to Petroleum Corporation sources the interest free credit facility granted earlier by Iran to Sri Lanka to purchase crude oil is to end soon.
Meanwhile President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who held discussions with his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York appreciated the Government Iran for helping Sri Lanka to solve its energy crisis.
