[ad#200×200]The Department of Excise has increased the levy on local and foreign liquor by Rs. 50 per liter and beer by Rs. 10.
Accordingly the levy for one liter of local liquor will be Rs. 560 and that for a liter of imported liquor will be Rs. 690, the Department said. The new levy imposed for a liter of beer will be Rs. 64.
The revised levy on a liter of wine has been increased to Rs. 415.
