[ad#200×200]A minor explosion along Malwaththa road in Colombo Fort area around 12.30 p.m. today (29) damaged five cars and vans that were in the vehicle park. One woman and a man with minor injuries have been admitted to the Colombo General Hospital for treatment, Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.
Police Spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekara said that the bomb was placed under a parked Litace van. SSP Gunasekara added that 250 grams of explosives may have been used. The Police are continuing further investigations.
