President’s son to contest from Hambanthota

Sri Lanka President’s son, Namal Rajapaksa, has been interviewed today by the nomination boards of the ruling United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) which are conducting interviews the select party candidates contesting the general election this year, party sources said.

According to the sources Namal Rajapaksa has submitted his application papers to the nomination board to contest the upcoming general elections from the Hambantota district.

The 23-year old oldest son of President Rajapaksa has been active in politics and leads the youth organization Tharunyata Hetak. (LankaPage)
