Sri Lanka thrash Australia in the 20-20 match Perth

Sri Lanka beat Australia by 7 wickets with 21 ball to spare in a thrilling finish to the day/night Twenty20 match at the WACA in Perth, Australia.

Sri Lanka decisively won the first Twenty20 international against Australia at the WACA Ground on Sunday in Perth a short while ago. The Australians won the toss and decide to bat first, but Aussies failed to provide the required boost .

Brad Haddin and Steve Smith were in-charge of the rescue and put on a much-needed 66 in 44 balls, however, the off-spinner Suraj Randiv dismissed Haddin and Smith in the same over to stop them from racing away.

Sri Lanka’s attack was brilliant as it dominated the opening 20 overs on a surface offering some helpful bounce. Earlier, Sri Lanka bowled superbly to restrict a strong Aussie batting line-up to just 133. T.M Dilsan with his brisk 41 and Sangakkara with an unbeaten 44 steered the Lankans to a comfortable victory. Suraj Randiv was adjudged the man of the match was his stunning figures of 4 for 25.
