Sri Lanka won by 35 Runs – Sri Lanka vs Australia T20

1st Twenty20 International, Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy, Sri Lanka, Australia won the toss & elected to field.

Sri Lanka (198/3) beat Australia (163/8) by 35 runs in the first T-20 match played at the Pallakele International Stadium in Kandy. Sri Lankan team showed a impressive performance with both the batting and the baling, to thrash Australia with a good margin of 35 runs. Tilakaratne Dilshan hit a beautiful knock of 104 from 57 balls not out, which included 12 fours and 5 sixes, and this knock helped Sri Lanka post a big total of 198/3 from 20 overs.

Under pressure, Australia began to lose wickets from the very beginning and except an appreciable 53 from David Warner, no other batsman performed well to support him and reach to a good score, or chase the actual target.
