The government yesterday (11th) ordered all international organizations active in Wanni to give details of all movable and immovable property belonging to them. This order has been given as it has been revealed that more than 40 vehicles belonging to international organizations are being used by tiger terrorists in their terror activities. The government has also decided to restrict the quota of fuel made available to INGOs.
The government has taken these decisions as security intelligence sections have apprised the government that tiger terrorists are using vehicles belonging to Norwegian People’s Aid and several other INGOs. A senior security officer stated yesterday (11th) that tiger terrorists are using ten wheeled vehicles belonging to INGOs and it has been revealed that a caterpillar vehicle belonging to an INGO has been fixed with a heavy gun.
Meanwhile, the head of Norwegian Peoples Aid Peter Aider, who had met defense authorities and unsuccessfully attempted to conceal the incident of tigers using their vehicles, left the country on Saturday. S.L. Army has informed the Ministry of Defense that ten INGOs are presently active in Wanni.
